Meet the Team

  • Mike Eastman

    DIRECTOR

    Mike’s focus is on inspirational team leadership, corporate and client relationships, financial responsibility and innovative concept development and implementation.

    He has been a director, general manager and board member for many organisations over 35 years and was the Head of Contemporary Music at WAAPA for 15 years.

    Mike is a currently a member of the Governing Council of South Regional TAFE (WA) and has previously been a board member of Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Vice-Chair of the Regional Universities Centre - National Advisory Committee and a board member of WAAPA.

  • Kristina Low

    CENTRE COORDINATOR

    Kristina is dedicated to equipping students with the skills, strategies, techniques and resources they need to take control of their learning experience and get the most out of their time as a student.

    Kristina has worked at Edith Cowan University and Curtin University in roles supporting students and academic teaching staff.

    Her most recent role was with the University of Tasmania in Hobart, providing communications and program support for a health research partnership.

  • Holly Pepper

    STUDENT SUPPORT/PROJECTS OFFICER

    Holly’s professional experience spans creative fields and education settings, having designed and implemented practical learning experiences for adults and young people.

    She has worked as a teacher in high schools, primary schools, vocational training settings and informal education programs. The combination of her skills and lived experiences gives her the practical skills to assist students with their remote study.

    Holly is passionate about developing innovative ways for students to engage and learn.

  • Jane Mouritz

    COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

    Jane works to build a network between the Universities Centre, students, local businesses, industry and community.

    Jane was a proactive community builder and leader in the Hyden community, supporting adult education and being an early adopter of Westlink remote satellite learning through TAFE. 

    Jane has first-hand experience of studying remotely with limited internet access and understands the challenges many online and regional students face.

    Jane is a casual lecturer in business at Southern Regional TAFE and has served in local government as an appointed member to many State and national advisory committees.

    As a result of her experience in community capacity building, Jane recognises the mutual benefits of establishing networks of diversely talented people who can inspire, mentor and support students as they journey through online tertiary education. 

  • Chris Stretch

    KATANNING STUDY HUB COORDINATOR

    Chris is passionate about access to education, which drives him to give back to the local community and the region he grew up in.

    Chris has guided and mentored rural boarding students in Perth for over 16 years, helping students feel at home and reach their full potential in all areas of life.

    He’s supported students through TAFE, the WA Certificate of Education, and International Baccalaureate.

    Chris is now excited to be putting his skills to use in a rural setting.

    He’s committed to help students overcome barriers along their education journey, supporting and inspiring them to achieve their best.
